Ross Tredinnick serves as the systems programmer for the Virtual Environments research group at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, an interdisciplinary research institute. Since he joined in 2012, Tredinnick has been involved in a multitude of collaborative research projects, ranging from the digital humanities to astrophysics and cultural preservation to healthcare in the home. A common theme in these projects is applying VR technologies to these research areas and developing computer graphics and VR software to aid in answering research questions.  Prior to 2012, Ross spent six years in the video game development industry, working as a tools programmer at two different AAA studios in Minneapolis, and Madison, WI. Ross started working with VR technologies as a graduate student at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities from 2004-2006.
